About
We are a team of enthusiasts united for one goal: to create a high-quality, honest and lively gaming portal, where every player – be it a newbie, a hardcore player, a retro fan or a fan of story-driven RPGs – can find something important for themselves. Our site is not just a collection of news and reviews. It is a space for communication, a platform for discussions, a guide to the industry, and, above all, a community of gamers who care about the fate of video games and their development.
Who are we?
We are experienced gamers, journalists, analysts, indie developers and simply passionate people. For us, games are not just entertainment. They are:
a way of self-expression,
a form of modern art,
a powerful cultural and social phenomenon,
a source of emotions, thoughts and inspiration.
Each of us has our own story.
Someone spent their childhood playing Dendy and “tanks”;
Some played Quake III and Counter-Strike on local networks all night long;
Some spent thousands of hours in Lineage, World of Warcraft or Dota 2;
Some loved RTS like StarCraft, Total Annihilation and Age of Empires;
Some grew up on story-driven RPGs — from Baldur’s Gate to The Witcher and Mass Effect.
We played, argued, waited for releases, disrupted beta tests, got disappointed and fell in love again. And it is this experience that we want to transfer here, to the pages of our website.
Why are we doing this?
Because the gaming industry is at a crossroads. On the one hand, it is maturing, reaching new artistic heights, pushing the boundaries of technology. On the other hand, it is increasingly moving towards marketing, monetization, and manipulation of attention.
We are tired of seeing how:
objective reviews are replaced by paid reviews;
press releases disguised as analytics;
authorial opinions drown in “top 10 facts about the game”;
the gaming community is fragmented into fandoms, instead of discussing the main thing – the quality, meaning and feelings that the game evokes.
We decided that it was time to give the voice back to real players. And to show that gaming journalism can be deep, honest, thoughtful and exciting.
